   William Pierce, Ph.D., Pradama

William M. Pierce, Jr., Ph.D. is Founder, President and CEO of Pradama Inc. Dr. Pierce has spent 25 years researching bone resorption and drug design.

Dr. Pierce is credited in the scientific literature with the first bone-targeting drug delivery attempt. He, along with co-inventors, created a novel tetracycline-derived bone-targeting agent which is the basis of Pradama Inc.

In addition to his efforts with Pradama, Dr. Pierce is currently the Acting Executive Vice President for Research at the University of Louisville. He has chaired the University's Faculty Senate twice, also serving as a Trustee. Dr. Pierce has received two University of Louisville President's Distinguished Faculty Awards.

Dr. Pierce received a B.A. in Chemistry and Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology, both from the University of Louisville, and completed his postdoctoral work at Stanford University.
