Incorporated:    2006

Contacts:    Ted Kalbfleisch, Ph.D., Founder and President

Description:    Intrepid has executed a license agreement to the technology to develop a secure web-based data repository. This system will allow researchers to dynamically manage their own proprietary data along side the large volume of public data currently available online.

In addition, the system will incorporate an e-commence component allowing reagent and service providers the ability to market and sell context specific assays and products to individual researchers. This component will allow researchers to dramatically streamline their ordering process and increase their efficiency in the lab.

Intrepid plans to develop a revenue model based on context specific advertising as well as transaction fees collected for each reagent, assay and analytical service ordered via the website. The total market for these products and services is estimated to be in excess of $1 billion annually.

Intprepid is initiating a $1M Series A financing 2Q09.
