Description:    Intrepid Bioinformatics product GeneSentry is a web-based data repository and data management system for the genetic research community. Intrepid has an exclusive license from the University of Louisville to this sophisticated system that is based on a four-year academic collaboration with the USDA.

Intrepid offers an affordable, highly functional, community-based solution to the daunting problem of managing the vast quantities of genomic data available to researchers. Researchers may use the system to view publicly available data; upload, download and selectively share proprietary data, and study genomic trends across entire populations allowing for the type of collaboration researchers demand.

In the last twelve months Intrepid has closed on an over-subscribed Series A financing, developed necessary infrastructure, implemented product enhancements and hired a full-time CEO.

Intrepid will formally launch it's product at the Plant and Animal Genome Conference in early January 2011 and will initiate Series B financing in late 2011.
