Gina Lankswert has 20 years of accounting, finance and business analysis experience in the insurance, real estate, economic development, and life-science start-up industries.
Gina joined the MetaCyte team in 2007. She is currently the project manager for Edumedics, and is a member of the management teams for Eyevation, Gnarus Systems, In Vivo Life Sciences, Particle 79 and TrackFive Diagnostics, Inc. In addition, Gina serves on the board of directors of Intrepid Bioinformatics and as the VP of Development on an interim basis.
Gina's role includes providing strategic financial management advice for MetaCyte and preparing portfolio companies for financing. She has helped raise more than $4.0M in financing for MetaCyte companies.
Gina was a key member of the team that prepared the successful Louisville Life and Health Sciences Project application for Tax Increment Financing from the Kentucky Revenue Department. The funding will allow LMCDC/Nucleus, UofL, MetaCyte and its partners to move ahead with the development of a 700,000+ square foot research park on the "Haymarket" properties in downtown Louisville, with the potential to generate more than $300M in economic impact.
Gina first joined the Louisville Medical Center Development Corporation team in 2002 where she managed the accounting functions of both LMCDC and MetaCyte, prepared the annual operating budgets, and has been responsible for federal grant applications and administration.
Gina is a licensed CPA and holds a degree in accounting from Bellarmine University.
