Justin M. Balko, Pharm.D., Ph.D., TrackFive Diagnostics, Inc.
Justin Balko, Pharm.D., Ph.D. is Founder and Vice President of TrackFive Diagnostics, Inc., Inc. He is currently a Research Fellow in the Arteaga Lab at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center. Justin's clinical pharmacy background provides him with an expert perspective in the clinical use of anti-cancer therapies and personalized medicine.
While a graduate student under the mentorship of Penni Black, Ph.D., Dr. Balko implemented genomic and systems biology approaches in identifying a gene expression signature of response to EGFR targeted therapies. These approaches are the basis of TrackFive's genomic-based personalized medicine products.
Dr. Balko attended the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, received a Pharm.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo and his Ph.D. in Clinical and Experimental Therapeutics from the University of Kentucky.
